The draw distance is quite impressive in Hardline, especially in the Dustbowl map. Both versions suffer from pop-in issues, halftone in some places, and the post-processing anti-aliasing solution sometimes looks broken with visible irregularities. In the same maps, the Xbox One version was able to maintain 45 to 60 frames per second. We’ve seen frame rate drops on the Dust Bowl map, but only when the on-screen action intensifies. From a performance standpoint, the PlayStation 4 version is able to maintain at 60 frames per second most of the time, especially on Bank Job and Downtown cards. We tested all three versions in the three modes offered by the beta: Heist, Hotwire and Conquest.
Maybe they can implement dynamic resolution like Call of Duty Advanced Warfare? It will be interesting to see if DICE will be able to hit 1080p at 60fps on both consoles at launch, but it seems likely that console gamers will ultimately be stuck with a resolution below 1080p. We hope that Visceral games can improve the resolution of the Xbox One version since the picture quality takes a hit at 720p.
